Hospitality & Property Photographer in Zadar, Croatia
Beautiful photos are what make someone stop scrolling and click "Book Now." I'm Kateryna, a photographer based in Zadar, and alongside my travel photography work, I photograph boutique hotels, mobile homes and apartments across Croatia — helping owners turn their listings into something guests actually want to book.
Who I Work With
I currently shoot three types of properties, and each one taught me something different about what actually sells a stay:
Boutique hotels. I've photographed rooms across two boutique hotels so far — from a bedroom built around a warm wood-slat accent wall to a compact but beautifully designed kitchen with brass hardware and a wood backsplash. What I've noticed shooting these spaces: owners often undersell their own design choices. A detail like a well-placed pendant light or a textured headboard reads as an afterthought in person, but in a photo, that's exactly what makes a guest stop scrolling.
Mobile homes. This is one of the property types I shoot most, and it's also one of the most misunderstood in photography. A mobile home isn't a hotel room and it isn't a house — the terrace, the shade, the two-minute walk to the beach usually sell the unit more than the interior does. I spend as much time shooting outside the unit as inside it.
Apartments. Light, layout, and lifestyle showing a space the way someone would actually want to live in it for a week, not just documenting that a bed and a kitchen exist.
Why Photos Matter More Than Owners Expect
Guests decide whether to open a listing within seconds of seeing the cover photo. On Airbnb and Booking.com, photo quality and consistency directly influence how often a listing gets shown and how often it converts into a booking. I've seen this play out directly with hosts I've worked with a property that's beautifully maintained in person can still underperform online simply because the photos don't do it justice. The reverse is also true: strong photography can make a modest property feel like the obvious choice on a page full of similar options.
This matters even more in 2026, as Croatia's rental market gets more regulated and more competitive, and guests compare more listings side by side before booking than they used to.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only shoot in Zadar, or do you travel? I'm based in Zadar but travel across the Adriatic coast for hospitality shoots — from the islands to Istria. If your property is elsewhere in Croatia, just ask.
How is photographing a mobile home different from photographing an apartment? Mostly in where I spend my time. With a mobile home, the outdoor space — terrace, surroundings, proximity to the beach or pool is often the main selling point, so I shoot that as carefully as the interior. With an apartment, the focus shifts more toward light, layout and how the space would feel to actually stay in.
Can you shoot a single room, or does it need to be the whole property? Either. Some hotel clients need a handful of specific rooms refreshed; others want a full property shoot. We'll figure out what's worth photographing based on your goals.
How far in advance should I book? Ideally a few weeks ahead, especially heading into the summer season when both my calendar and the light conditions get more in demand. But reach out even on short notice — I'll do what I can.
